Language Center
Objectives of the Language Center
The Language Center is established to assist students with their language proficiency and their cultural communication skills; services include affairs in teaching assistance, student learning and social service, etc.
(1)Teaching Assistance
- Update, maintain, and repair software and hardware of the language classrooms.
- Collect and procure teaching materials and resources for language teaching.
- Organize or co-organize teaching seminars to improve teaching methods.
- Assist teachers in using the software and hardware of the language classrooms.
- Assist with the foreign language proficiency tests and promote teaching and learning adaptive mechanisms; also, assist with foreign language learning assessment tests to evaluate the effects of the teaching and learning adaptive mechanisms.
(2)Student Learning
- Assist with creating a language-learning environment.
- Organize or co-organize foreign language competitions.
- Plan and manage a self-study classroom and a language diagnostic center to promote students using their free time to practice their language of study.
- Collect information on foreign language tests and assessment tools.
- Provide language testing courses to help students pass language proficiency tests and obtain language qualification / certification.
- Plan for opportunities for students to study language abroad.
(3)Social Service
- Assist with holding TOEIC.
- In accordance to the government’s internationalization policy, the Center supports language-testing centers
with language testssuch as GEPT, LSAT, CGNFS, Japanese Proficiency Test, and KOJEN GEPT.
