History of the accounting Department

Department of Accounting has been established since 1965, including five-year college and four-year university educational system, emphasizing commercial and accounting of basic training. Since 1989 the school restructuring into Technology College, two kinds of students were enrolled.After 2003,the department was renamed " Department of Accounting information " to teach and the practical application of the theory of accounting and information for the development of professional focus.

Feature of Development

In recent years, the development of technical and vocational education, the internal faces of births decreased to reduce the number of students, industry, home, restructuring, upgrading, technical manpower demand and other factors change; external competitive trends faces the impact of globalization, so vocational colleges how education with industrial needs and future trends, give full play to the function of the human nurturing, with the gap narrowing learn to cope with rapid changes in the environment, in fact, imperative.

Characteristics of the department and the college

This department, beholden to the overall educational objectives stemming from societal trends and forces, takes as its mission the cultivation of subject-specific expertise and information-processing skills for professional accountants at the mid-to-high levels of the workforce hierarchy.

I. Character education as a foundation

This university has long emphasized an education of character and was one of the eight out of more a hundred to receive an award from the Ministry of Education in 2008 for outstanding character education and, in 2011, for “character education” as well as “breadth and depth of character education.” Other positive evaluations, which have come at a high frequency, include awards for volunteer services/serve-and-learn programs, for “education of life and the third-level precaution for self-inflicted mayhems” and for being a friendly campus. 

II. Developing competiveness

->Fostering core abilities in students Rigorously executing various teaching activities, developing students’ accounting expertise as well as the core skills of information-processing and financial management. 

->Promoting a trend of taking exams for certificates Sustaining the trend of participating in certificate-granting tests by establishing measures of incentives and, if needed in the future, by offering various tutoring workshops. 

->Optimizing student internships Continuing assignments of interns to related organizations and an integration of faculty research and student-centered topics while actively seeking opportunities for education—industry collaborations so as to bring about a marriage between teaching and research and between theory and practice. 

III. Creating an international vision

->Upgrading student proficiency in foreign languages Strengthening students’ foreign-language capabilityvis-à-vis global competition, nurturing talents with international perspectives.

->Advancing cross-strait academic interflows on Accounting Promoting, via this university’s Economy and Trade Center, cross-strait academic exchanges on Accounting, inviting scholars on both sides of the Strait to academic and practitioners’ activities while planning visits or internships for faculty and students alike.

->Coupling with the international accounting community The operational standards for accounting in our country differ from those practiced internationally. In the face of globalized competition, the flourish of international trades and the growth in cross-national industries, countries have tended toward uniformity in those standards. In light of such dynamics, linking up with the international accounting community is certainly something inevitable.

• Our students participated in the ``2020 Accounting Elite Competition'' and won the third and fifth place.
• Professor Fu-Chiang Chen instructed 3 students to participate in the "Internal Audit Creative Short Film Contest" and won the championship.
• Professor Hung-Lin Lai instructed students to participate in the ``2020 Law Compliance Technology and Computer Audit Special Contest'' and won three outstanding works.
• Professor Fu-Chiang Chen instructed 5 students to participate in the "Xiaoshuizhizhi multi-star- campus talents competition" and won the third place.
• Professor Hsiu-Li Lee instructed 6 students to participate in the “2020 National Business and Management Practice Competition" and won the second place in the quantitative research group.
• Professor Shih-Fong Wang instructed 6 students to participate in the “2020 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won the third place.
• Professor Hsiu-Li Lee instructed 6 students to participate in the “2020 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won the first place.

2019

• Professor Shih-Fong Wang instructed 5 students to participate in the "108 School Year College Entrepreneurship Practice Simulation Learning Platform" and won the Top Maker team grant of NTD 100,000.
• 18 honors students passed the Bookkeeping Certification in the year of 2019.
• Professor Fu-Chiang Chen and professor Hung-Lin Lai instructed students to participate in the "Cloud Invoice Creative Solicitation" and won the third place and three excellent works
• Our school won the fifth place in the "108 Campus Cloud Invoice e-up"
• Professor Fu-Chiang Chen instructed 5 students to participate in the ”2019 Taxation Master'' and won the National Competition Promotion Award
• Professor Jun-yi Guo instructed 6 students to participate in the “2019 First Smart Life Five Innovation Competition and Academic Seminar'' and won the fourth runner-up in the online marketing strategy group.
• Professor Hung-Lin Lai instructed 4 students to participate in the ``2019 First Smart Life Five Innovation Competition and Academic Seminar'' and won the second runner-up in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Briefing Group.
• Professor Hung-Lin Lai instructed 4 students to participate in the “2019 National Youth Creative Application Competition'' and won the bronze medal
• Professor Jun-yi Guo instructed 6 students to participate in the “2019 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won a masterpiece.
• Professor Sh-izhu Chang instructed students to participate in the “2019 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won a prize and a masterpiece.
• Professor Li-Ping Kao instructed 6 students to participate in the “2019 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won the first place and best presentation.
• Professor Hung-Lin Lai instructed 4 students to participate in the “2019 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won the second place.
• Professor Chih-Hsiung Su instructed students to participate in the preliminary contest of the “2019 Data Innovation Application Contest'' to be shortlisted for 2 groups and prepare 2 groups.

2018

• 50 honors students passed the Bookkeeping Certification in the year of 2018.
• Student Xiong Jiajing of our department was awarded the first place of  Bookkeeping Certification in the year of 2018.
• Student Li Shiting won the light of 2018 technical position
• Professor Hsiu-Li Lee instructed 6 students to participate in the 107 "Cloud Invoice Wenqing Tax Month" short film and hot focus thumbnail creation competition and won the Excellent Work and Internet Popularity Award
• Professor Fu-Chiang Chen instructed 6 students to participate in the “2018 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won the first place and the best presentation.
• Professor Chih-Hsiung Su instructed 6 students to participate in the “2018 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won the second place.
• Professor Hung-Lin Lai instructed 6 students to participate in the “2018 National Accounting Practice Special Contest'' and won the master work.

• 15 honors students passed the Bookkeeping Certification in the year of 2017.
